Rachelle Lefevre, a Canadian actress was born. Lefevre was a waitress at tables at the time and was discovered by a Canadian film maker, who helped her land her first role in the acting world as a actress. The actress later relocated from Canada to Los Angeles where she earned the role of a regular on the film What About Brian (2006). The actress' acting talents were discovered through a patron from Montreal when she was working as an teen in the restaurant. The regular put Lefevre to an agent for casting. It was the result that led to the creation of a Canadian television sitcom. The actress was featured in several shows of David. Kelley's Boston Legal (2004). This led to her starring role in the 2008 U.S. adaption of BBC smash Life on Mars. Her family's heritage is French but Lefevre grew in a household that spoke predominantly English but she ultimately moved in Los Angeles in 2004 due to the lack of English-speaking people in Montreal.
