Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actress, activist for animals and a writer, who has won numerous prizes. The actress has won praise for films like Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969), and The Getaway, (1972). Born and raised in an artistic family living in New York she wished to be a part of the art. She began as a photo assistant, before progressing to modeling and acting. The award she received was the Golden Globe Award, for the most promising young talent. MacGraw was a worldwide star after her 1970 movie Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe. In just three films, she received the title of top female debut at the box office in the world. At Grauman's Chinese Theater, in 1972, she had her signature and hand-footprints engraved. Other films she has appeared in are The Getaway Convoy Players as well as the TV miniseries The Winds of War. The autobiography of MacGraw Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw was married three times.
